among organosilicon polymers, high molecular organosilicon compounds with silicon oxygen bond as main chain structure are mainly formed by hydrolysis polycondensation of organosilicon monomers (such as organohalosilanes). the main chain is composed of silicon oxygen bonds, and the side chain is connected with organic groups through silicon atoms, which is called polyorganosiloxane.
silicone resin is a kind of thermosetting resin with low molecular weight in polysiloxane. the glass fiber reinforced composite made of this kind of resin can still maintain excellent electrical properties in a high temperature range (200 ~ 250 ℃) after long-term continuous use. at the same time, it also has good arc resistance, hydrophobic and moisture-proof properties. the properties of silicone resin are as follows:
(1) thermal stability. the si-o bond of silicone resin has high bond energy (363kj / mol), so it is relatively stable and has high heat resistance and high temperature resistance. generally speaking, its thermal stability range can reach 200 ~ 250 ℃, and special types of resins can be higher.
(2) mechanical properties. the mechanical properties of silicone resin after curing are not high. if chlorophenyl is introduced into the macromolecular main chain, the mechanical properties can be improved. the bonding strength of silicone resin glass fiber laminate is poor, and the bending strength decreases greatly when heated. if phenylene is introduced into the main chain, the rigidity, strength and service temperature can be improved.
(3) electrical performance. silicone resin has excellent electrical insulation performance, and its breakdown strength, high voltage arc resistance and spark resistance are excellent. under the action of electric arc and spark, even if the resin is cracked to remove organic groups, the remaining silica on the surface also has good dielectric properties.
(4) hydrophobicity. the water absorption of silicone resin is very low, and water droplets can only roll down on its surface instead of wetting. therefore, silicone resin glass fiber reinforced composites can still maintain their excellent properties under humid environmental conditions.
(5) corrosion resistance. silicone resin glass fiber reinforced composites can be made of 10% ~ 30% sulfuric acid, 10% hydrochloric acid, 10% ~ 15% sodium hydroxide, 2% sodium carbonate and 3% hydrogen peroxide. alcohols, aliphatic hydrocarbons and lubricating oils have little effect on it, but their resistance to concentrated sulfuric acid is poor.
